A Search for Snow

We drove to North Bend to be closer to snow, and family too, of course.

When the sledding day that Jack had hoped for, for some time had come, we drove hours to find the best spot.

It was a beautiful scene all around - because we were in a warm car - truly majestic white covered everything.

It took us forever in the car however, because everywhere we went was full or did not allow sledding. All we needed was a dang hill without trees... Is that too much to ask Washington? What the heck?

So exit after exit, and let down after let down, we ended up at church property, a little further away, called Ensign Ranch. Although it was not as pretty as our first few stops, more like 17 stops, it was just enough snow, on a tiny little hill, without trees, to have a good time. The kids had a blast and by then had forgotten how long it took us to find a decent spot.

We returned back to Bremerton, tired from all of our fun and our search for snow, only to have a pretty amazing surprise out of our windows.

The snow had found us, and we were so glad it did.

It was our first Christmas Eve in Bremerton, and it was a magical white one.
