Christmas Eve in Downtown Seattle

Our Christmas Eves haven't been a consistent thing since 2015.

This one consisted of carousels,

city lights,

long lines to see gingerbread houses,

and delicious Thai food.

And... that's totally okay.

Just Another Day with Jocelyn

Gym locker room.
"Faith. You know. My mom says that we should not walk around all willy, nilly naked in the locker room. Does your mom like your area and boo boos out for everyone to see?"

Couple's house in the ward.
"Those guys sure do have a lot of toys for being so old. See mom. I can keep my toys just like they do, and I think they're 100 or something. You're almost as old as them, right?"

Trying to quickly find something to eat.
"Let me help mom. I got this. Ooops. I don't got this."

While on a phone call with a sweet sister.
"Mom, tell her that it's okay to not be able to go to Costco. That's a terrible place." (Nothing in the entire conversation ever hinted at or sounded remotely like Costco.)

Ultrasound room waiting for the Doctor.
"Mom. This looks like honey. But it sure doesn't smell like honey. It smells like a cherry butt."

Win-co checkout line
"I told my mommy I would be a good listener and stop sticking weird things down my pants, like markers, toys, and candy if she'd buy me this gum. And look. She's buying it. So... no more stuff in my pants it is."

Driving home.
"Smiling is my favorite. Just like Buddy the Elf."

Oh, Jocelyn.

Wieners All Around

If you opened this post looking for something other than a Couples Baby-Q Shower, then you're a real pervert.

Come on man.

Really?

So disappointing.

This is a family blog.

And our little family loves to have parties with themes... this one just so happened to focus on the birth of a baby boy... hence, wieners all around. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Oh Christmas Tree

Our friends asked us where we bought our Christmas tree at last year.

We told them in the Safeway parking lot.

They laughed.

That most assuredly will never happen again.

Bidders Are Winners

Jack had an auction at school today.

Brought in some old stuff from his room to donate.

He was so stoked to spend his tickets on things he wanted.

He didn't have as many tickets as some of his other classmates had, mainly because he didn't keep track of them. Organization is not his best quality.

He even bought some of the stuff he had actually donated.

I asked him what in the world was he doing buying something that he already owned and decided to donate in the first place.

"I bought it so I could make sure my friend could have it. He didn't earn a lot of tickets and he's my friend. I just wanted to make him happy."

It was the best auction I've ever been to in my life. Being an awesome freaking human is his best quality.

No Clue Where We Were

There's water all around this place. Ocean water. Lake water. Creeks. I'm sure there are rivers. So much water. And most of the time I have no clue where we are. I just go along for the ride, feeling geographically dumb because I could actually look at a map. (But ain't nobody got time for that.)

Last Saturday was no exception. No clue.

Jack's soccer game took us out an hour or so away from home. Took a bridge that I know we've been on a bunch of times before on our adventures. But I can't tell you the name of it.

But the end result was somewhere new. With new beaches. New water. New things to explore. And of course new fun memories and a crap ton of pictures.

Who knows where we will end up next Saturday?
