Hmmmmmm. What to do? What to do?

It's yet again ANOTHER Saturday with daddy gone. (One more week of Summer semester! You can do it sugar!) And we want to do something fun.

So I ask, "What should we do today?"
Jack replies, "Let's go to the Bellagio and see MY train!"
I explain, "The train belongs to the Bellagio and it is only out at Christmas time. It won't be there today my boy."
Jack looks at me with such disdain, "Mom. It's okay that you are wrong. We will just go and see.  I will show you that MY train is there, right where I left it."

When we go to the Bellagio, I was right. (Duh, I am always right!) Instead of rubbing it in his cute little know-it-all face, I simply said, "Ahhh Jack. Darn it. They must have put YOUR train away for a little while. But hey look at those cool birds they have out!"
He replied, "Yes. They put MY train away so the big birds don't poop on it. Birds are so gross!"

The Bellagio
I would like to think that with ALL of the millions of pictures I have made these 2 children sit through their entire lives, we would be able to get at least one, FREAKING ONE, picture of both of them smiling, and looking at the camera at the same time. But, CLEARLY I AM WRONG! So, this is what we have to show for our fun day at the Bellagio!

"No sister, you are NOT in this picture. Stop smiling!"
Not sure what Jack was thinking in this picture but I think it was something like,
"I love my sister. I love how she takes care of me and always wants me near her.
She is the best big sister ever!"
"STOP!!!!! JUST DON'T TOUCH ME!"
I was way off on reading his mind!
"Look out Mom. That is the bird who would poop on MY train!"

After the flowers we decided to go for a little stroll. I was hoping to try and find a way to sneak into the pool for a later date, but YEAH right! That will never happen. As we walked, we found these fun seats!
 George Constanza

Then we walked some more and found out there was a tram to the Aria! I knew my babies would love this FREE ride, so why not!

The Tram
This place is huge! I could not believe how crazy all of this is right in the middle of the strip.
"Mom, it's coming. Real fast! Real fast, look out Sister!"

We rode the tram from the Bellagio, to the Aria, to the Monte Carlo and then we rode it ALL the way back. And for more fun, we did it ALL over again. The babies loved it! I loved watching them have so much fun. Oh yeah. You better believe I am relishing these moments when they are still amused by FREE tram rides! There is so much to do in Vegas on a Saturday morning when Daddy is stuck at school studying for finals.

"Summer, Summer, Summertime... And put your car on cruise and lay back cause this is summertime"

I have been trying to think of how I can make this a great post. With a cute theme and what not. I have been racking my brain and now it is already August and I still have not posted anything about our fun trip to Oceanside, California. So I decided to just let the pictures (of which I took at almost 600) be my theme of our "Summer, Summer, Summertime!"

Oceanside ~ 2013

Day 1

 The drive down
"Here it is the groove slightly transformed
Just a bit of a break from the norm
Just a little somethin' to break the monotony
Of all that hardcore dance that has gotten to be
A little bit out of control it's cool to dance
But what about the groove that soothes that moves romance
Give me a soft subtle mix
And if ain't broke then don't try to fix it
And think of the summers of the past
Adjust the base and let the alpine blast
Pop in my cd and let me run a rhyme
And put your car on cruise and lay back cause this is summertime"
 The first entry
 The second thought
The "FREEZING" cold water
The dancing to feel her legs again.
Yes that is the amazing beach house where we crash day in and day out (Are you jealous?)
Thank you so much John Barnes for working for such a cool dude who lets us play at his beach house so often!

The Family

Day 2
Getting dirty
Being pretty
Learning skills
Applying skills
Finding shells
Missing daddy
 "Calling Maybe" -
choreographed by Charity, danced by Afton and Emily, song by Carly Rae Jepsen

Watching trains

Day 3
Early morning Tether Ball competition
I swear I heard one of them say, "Your mom goes to college!"
Early morning snuggle and talk reminding Jack that Daddy will be here in a few days.
 All ready for the evening
 Street Fair means good food!
Jack had a churro that was bigger then him.
Mommy had donuts.
Afton had an ice cream, but I was on the phone with daddy and she ate it too fast for me to get her picture. :(

Being silly waiting for the sunset.
 Missing Daddy
MELT
MY
HEART!
Staying up late with cousins!

Day 4
Playing catch with John
Playing catch UP with Angela aka World's Fastest RUNNER and Marathoner!
(BY the way, I have ZERO pictures of baby Eva. How did that happen?)

Day 5
"School is out and it's a sort of a buzz
A back then I didn't really know what it was
But now I see what have of this
The way that people respond to summer madness
The weather is hot and girls are dressing less
And checking out the fellas to tell 'em who's best."
(Someone flies in who we are ALL very happy to see!)

Day 6

Just busy playing with Daddy!

Fun with Tanner!
Adult dinner - Thanks Tanner, Brenden and Dallin for watching ALL the little ones!
So nice to have my sugar here, finally!

Day 7
On our last day we busted out the actual camera, not the phone! So there are lots of fun ones.
"J. A. C. K"
 The many faces of Afton!
From the front,
 From the back,
 From the front and back!
Grandma Joy and Grandpa Jerry

Clearly we had such a fun time! Each day was beautiful weather, filled with laughs and memories with each other. I am thankful to be a part of this family (Sadly, I did not take many pictures of the entire family that was there and am now feeling like a complete jerk). Thanks sugar for making that happen! I look forward to many more days of "Summer, Summer, Summertime" with you!

Will Smith said it best:
"There's an air of love and of happiness
And this is the fresh prince's new definition of summer madness."
