Before and After

I am not an interior decorator.

Thought about becoming one for about a semester at BYU, but then changed my mind.
The teacher was so dull and how can you be dull as an interior design teacher, honestly? Has the teacher not watched any show on HGTV?

But I must say that I am so happy with the things we were able to do... or pay people to do to make this house our home. Just to be honest up front... I did not like this house to begin with as I thought there was too much to be done. So much wood everywhere, but thanks to Pinterest, it caused my concerns to dissipate. And the master bedroom closets - let's be real, I have a lot of clothes, and shoes. But so does my Sugar!!! Anyway, my Sugar persisted, saw the potential this place could be, and I am so glad it worked out. (Happy Sugar? I gave you all the credit!!!) Now to just spruce up the neighborhood...

Keep in mind, we are still not done. We have run into few hiccups with the bathrooms, that I just want to slice someone over, (Like the previous home owner's son who did the bare minimum to meet the requirements to get the house to pass from our appraisal requirements to ensure the sale went through!!!!!) But I am working on forgiveness, so I will just leave it at that. But if I ever meet that guy, oh there will be H*#& to pay!

So... here is our home, Before and After style. I don't know what freaking awesome lens real estate agents have to make their pictures look so magical, so just pretend my pictures were captured with that special lens,
okay?

Once we knew that this wall could be removed, we were ready to proceed with the home purchase! We needed it to be a much more open space, and our contractor was able to understand my desires from my crazy descriptions.

The previous homeowner left us all this wicker furniture, so that was nice. Now we have it on our upper porch when it is not raining all the time, so in June and July.

We are going to paint our wall black, once my Sugar can find the time to fix all the plumbing and then re-tile the shower. We will be keeping the pink toilet and tub, along with the gold fixtures. Because, quite frankly, they are awesome.

My Favorite Décor
These little Willow Tree figurines are special to me. I have received some from my mom, my aunt Debbie, and my mother-in-law. They show our family in each stage, growing with each precious babe at a time. My Sugar got me the bottom two pieces to complete our family for Christmas and they make me so happy every time I walk by them.
The keys to our family ~ Daddy, Mommy, & three little babes
We got this picture of Christ at DI in Las Vegas when we first got married. It had an ugly brown frame and wouldn't go with our farmhouse feel, so I was ready to get rid of it. But then my Sugar pointed out, that I would be the first person to be, "Getting rid of Jesus from their home." So after that guilt trip, I painted the frame white and now it works great!
Credit again to my Sugar.

Outer Pics - Before & After
To be honest - right now everything is green, but nothing is blooming so we will just stick with the before shots!

We love our home. Come visit.
The pictures don't do it justice, but most importantly, you don't really care about our home.
You care about us, right?

 Right!!?
