This is where we partied when Afton was in kindergarten for a week. Staying right on the beach in these little cottages did not suck. We fell in love with Camp Pendelton and who could really blame us? We were hopeful that we would be stationed there, but that didn't work out. Fortunately for us though, it's the closest beach to where we actually did get stationed.
Yucca Valley may be our new home, but we plan to frequent this beach as if it were our actual backyard.
Visit 1
We visited the beach with the Jones family. James said as we drove through the base front gate, "Okay, now I'm really scared. These guys have machine guns everywhere."
I chuckled a bit, because my babes are so used to this way of life now. Crazy to me how different military life is, and how it's our norm.

Visit 2
Grandma Jones came down to celebrate Jack's birthday and to just spend time with us all. We're glad she did. It was a challenge getting her here, but we won't talk about that. We just loved having her here. That's it and that's all.
We love the beach, especially the one at Camp Pendleton!
