So many sugars in the world, but I have the best one! My sugar!
We had so much fun with our sugar this past week during his Spring Break from UNLV Dental School. We have missed him around the house for sooooooooo many reasons. We were glad to have him here to help out with a few projects, play with, laugh with, and all around enjoy! He truly is the sweetest sugar.
Friday
We spent the night getting ready for Afton's party. We worked to plant flowers for the front yard! Daddy took on the sprinklers drip system that was having issues in the front yard. He fixed the bad sprinklers in the back yard! He did all the things that Mommy has not been able to do! My sugar to the rescue!
Saturday
We had fun at Afton's birthday party. He was in charge of balloons, pictures, and all of the last minute help while I was having a panic attack. (The usual before a big party!)
Sunday
Daddy missed the kids looking for Leprechaun Pete but he was there in spirit! The kids were so excited to tell him about the gold coins they found once they saw him at church.
Monday
Daddy has not made it to the newly remodeled Sunset Park up the street from our house. The kids were excited to show him all the fun things to do there.
Playing soccer with Daddy!
Tuesday
Daddy took Afton in the truck (her favorite thing in the world) to go pick up her favorite donuts in the world for her birthday breakfast. She wanted these more than Daddy's pancakes because "It's Tuesday and we only have pancakes on Thursdays with daddy." This was the beginning of a fun-filled day!
"Yay sister! It's your Birthday!"
The lady let us ride 2 times since it was my girl's birthday!
Glad Daddy could be there to hold her hand!
Official Birthday Picnic at the park!
So glad Daddy decided to spend the day with us instead of golfing with his friends.
(slam to that friend who went golfing on his OWN child's birthday)
Wednesday
Daddy spent the morning "potty trading!" He put in a new one downstairs, then replaced the bad one upstairs with the old that was replaced by the new one. (Did that make sense? It does to me!)
In the afternoon, daddy went...
Golfing (by himself, but at least for free - Thanks Roy.) No pictures of this. Sorry.
When he got home, he helped Afton figure out her new Leapster from Grandma and Grandpa Westra! She loves it. (Notice the potty box in the background.)
Thursday
Fun day at Spring Mountain Ranch. We picnicked, played sports, had an Easter Egg Hunt, and even visited Howard Hughes old house. We invited all of daddy's classmates but only ONE family loves us enough to come and hang out. Big shout out to the REHDER family!Friday
Daddy got to go to our Tiny Tots Gym class. He had lots of fun watching the boy and girl on the beam, bar, and obstacle course.
After that, Daddy went to school to study. He started freaking out about school that is just a few days a way. (Dreading Monday!)
Saturday
Daddy worked on our pool and made it sparkle like new!
Finished up the final touches on our garden. (I did this fun DIY Upcycled headboard/footboard on our garden. It looks so fun!)
He spent the rest of the morning and afternoon at school in the lab. Then managed to attend a family baby shower. It was good to see cousins and have Daddy there with us.
We tried to fly kites that night. Bummer the wind died by the time we made it to the park. Daddy is a kite flying expert. I, myself...well, let's just say... I AM NOT!
Sunday
We spent the Sabbath attending church in the morning. Jack said, "Is daddy coming home after church? (yes) Oh yay, oh yay, oh yay!"
We went on a walk in our neighborhood. and had a fun time. Jack is finally big enough to do the tricycle all by himself. The babies couldn't get stop saying, "Hey Daddy, watch this. Look at me. Daddy, come here."
We're so glad when Daddy is home.
Glad as we can be.
This was a fun Spring Break. We all needed it. The house was falling apart and Daddy came to the rescue. This week healed our home, our hearts, and our "sugar" fix!
As you can see, there is no better sweeter SUGAR in the world, than mine. I love you baby!
