Photos Okay - Touching No Way

We were given free tickets for this museum and we were pretty thankful that we went. Definitely a must see if you're in the Seattle area.

But, I laughed a bit.

What the crap were we thinking bringing 3 kids, especially a 4 year old to a glass museum? And grandma Jones, too? Ha!

They asked my sugar to kindly remove Jocelyn from his shoulders as we were only about 4 feet deep into the exhibit. He looked at them like they were crazy, just looking for chaos to occur.

So we did. And we also followed the other important rules. "PHOTOS OKAY. TOUCHING NO WAY."

I put Jack and Afton in charge of capturing the shots of the amazing artwork and I'm so impressed with what they got.

Also impressed that we didn't walk out with a bag of broken, colorful, beautifully blown glass and an emptied out savings account.

Even Jocelyn got involved taking some pictures too.

Defiance

You know what I love?

I love when my kids have an extra day off of school, and they act like complete turds.

You know what else I love?

I love when people tell me how well behaved and respectful my kids are, but they act like the above mentioned word for me.

You know one more thing that I love?

I absolutely love when my kids know that we are going to do something fun, and they want to ruin it with their behavior by acting like defiant turds on the way there.

It only made sense that we went to a place full of all kinds of turds, from animals of all sorts, with the word defiance in it's name.

They are lucky they are cute, and that grandma Jones was here, or I would have turned my car right around. (They were really good at the zoo, so... I guess I should stop complaining.)

Classic example of the blind leading the blind
"We match."
"Yep, dis is where duh lions are."
"No, Jocy. Those are some sort of crazy looking penguins."
"Geeze Jack, can't you read? They are puffers, I think."
Jack was in heaven. He was the only one asking questions. And then he was the only one answering questions. He assured the ladies there that one day he will be a marine biologist to make sure all of these animals stay safe in the future.
Ooops Wrong one finger to use.
My shark boy
At some point her flower on her head was fully submerged, so we had to take that off. She asked if we could just take her top off too to be safe.
"When I am older, I will have a tank like this in my own house. Full of sharks so I can play with them when I want to."
"Well I found dem both now. Dori and Nemo. It has been a good day."
Purchased with their own money because I wasn't buying them a single thing... Little cute defiant turds.
Turned out to be a great day.
