We had had advise from just about EVERYBODY about what to do when we got to the park. All of the advise said, "Get your FastPass for the Cars Ride first thing." So we were ready to heed the counsel of so many. Doors opened. We saw the line. We ran to the line. We thought we had a decent spot in line, until some nice lady informed us that the end of the line was actually about 4,000 people back there, as she was pointing basically 3 miles away. (Slight, very slight exaggeration) Somehow there was a gap in the line, and obviously this nice lady did not want us cutting. Needless to say, we DID NOT wait in that line. That is just plain ridiculous. So we found our own way through the park and we began our first California Adventure.
Paradise Pier
Jumping Jellyfish
She especially loved this ride because she was tall enough but poor Jack boy wasn't.
Mickey's Fun Wheel
The Little Mermaid - Ariel's Undersea Adventure
Definite family favorite. The line was quick, the ride was long, and every single time, Jack waved to Ariel and Flounder. It melted my heart every time.
The Carousel
We rode all kinds of fun rides here at Paradise Pier. But California Screamin' was a ride that Afton was not thrilled about the fact that I left her with Daddy and Jack so I could ride it. I went on as a Single Rider so I didn't have to wait long, but long enough to warrant this break down just outside the Carousel.
After the breakdown, we had lunch and got to open up our daily lunch treat.
The babies loved them.
I love the colors in these pictures.
Cars Land
Mater's Junkyard Jamboree
This was the longest line we had waited in so far in our 2 days at Disneyland. They kept playing a fun song sung by the one and only, Mater. Afton and I danced in line to help pass the time.
This really was a fun ride. Afton got whipped around like a ragdoll, but she loved it!
"a bug's land"
She doesn't look like me at all. :)
It's Tough to Be a Bug
This 3D movie was really fun. My sugar and I especially loved how they warned everyone before the movie that some of the "smaller bugs" in the theatre may get scared at times. Sure enough, little kids were screaming, crying, and clutching to their parents until it was over.
Jack and Afton were some of those very kids.
Heimlich's Chew Chew Train
Tuck and Roll's Bumper Cars
Flik's Flyers
CHURRO!
Almost all 3 of them enjoyed their very first Disneyland Churro.
"Ummm. Costco's taste better," says my grumpy Sugar because he didn't like the price.
Grizzly Peak
Photo Opportunities
Climbing opportunities
Wildlife Instruction Opportunities
Sliding Opportunities
Redwood Creek Challenge Trail - a land of opportunities.
Clearly from these pictures, you can see that we truly had an adventure, a real California Adventure.
