Guilt Trip

We've had lots of people say that they were going to come and see us.

Said they would make a special trip out in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by desert and joshua trees.

Away from a beach get away. Away from a major sporting event location. Away from all that other cities in beautiful southern California may have to offer.

But only a few have followed through with it.

Now I'm not trying to make anybody feel bad for not following through on their words of, "Oh, we're going to come visit you soon," statements. I'm not trying to make anyone want to look at their calendars for the next possible date to visit the super popular Yucca Valley, home of the Westras. I'm not trying to say that we will only be here for a short 6-8 months.

I'm only saying what I'm saying, and if it's guilt or remorse you feel, please understand that I had nothing to do with that.

As you can see, those who have sacrificed to come out to visit, are nothing but smiles when they're here. 

And of course sad to drive away.
