Parks and Rec

My sugar and I tuck all of our babies in at 8:00 pm every night. Yep, even on the weekends. (We believe in structure and a good night's sleep. Babywise done right! )

This is of course for their benefit, but ours as well. I'm at full on crazy-impatient-I'll rip your eyebrows off if you talk back to me one more time-exhausted mode. And my Sugar just supports me. He's the patient one. So once we've got our little ones in their beds for the night, we watch a few episodes of something.

We've exhausted all of Vikings series, Peaky Blinders, Luther, Scrubs, Arrested Development, Game of Thrones, Homeland, etc. Anyway, you get it. We should be reading instead of watching tv, and now I'm embarrassed by all the TV we watch but oh well. I'll press on with this post.

Our show we are currently obsessed with is Parks and Rec. Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) and her love for her little town of Pawnee, Indiana is inspiring and hilarious. That broad is intense and I love it. (She's not the best part however. I can't decide who/what I love more, Ron Swanson, or the relationship between Donna and Tom. "Treat yo self!" My Sugar loves April because she's such a mean girl.) Leslie Knope would do anything for her little town and her friends are always willing to support her. I love it.

Anyhow, the reason for this post is not because of this silly show, but because we went to an amazing and spacious  park this last weekend. I remember this place from my childhood. It was a huge area of land that used to be an old ghetto golf course out in the middle of North Las Vegas. But, the Leslie Knope of the NLV Parks and Rec department outdid herself. She or he should be proud.

This park is amazing! My hat is off to the entire Parks and Rec Department. They deserve a big plate of waffles for their hard work.

We rock climbed, zoomed down slides, rope climbed, raced random kids across the rope course, played baseball, fed the duckies Hot Fries, had a picnic, played on the playgrounds, and sk8ted!

We had another fun day in our little city of Las Vegas.
