Superhero Party for my little Superhero!

It was clear what my son's 3rd birthday party would be from the start.

A SUPERHERO PARTY!
Reason1:
Since watching The Avenger's a few months ago, he has asked to watch it everyday at least 3 times a day. Let me assure, he does not get to watch it that often, but needless to say, it is the most viewed movie on our Netflix account, much to his sister's dismay.
Reason 2:
I also some great pictures taken by Ashley Tasker for our Father's day gift that would be perfect for his invitation. Too adorable not to use it!
Reason 3:
He pretends to be Batman, Superman, Hulk, Thor, Spiderman, Captain America, Green Lantern, Flash, and Hawkeye intermittently throughout the day while mixing in some golf, baseball, soccer, and football of course.

Of course I stole ideas from pinterest. (It still hurts my heart to know that I am no longer creative. I am lazy and find ideas on pinterest, instead of relying on my own brain. Just makes me feel lame, but I won't go there. I have already complained about my laziness on a previous post! I should be over it by now. Clearly I am not.)

This party needed to have all the makings of a SUPER party!

SUPER DECOR!
My favorite part of the DECOR was the SuperHERO Underwear banner that hung over the kitchen table from the window. I am sad that none of those pictures turned out.

SUPER FOOD!
 Super Subs
All Healthy foods to help enhance their Superhero skills!
Ok. Maybe these aren't the healthiest, but at least they don't cause ANAL Leakage.
(30 Rock reference!)

SUPER GAMES!
We played 3 games. They were very fun.
1. Hulk Smash Bomb Detonation
WE had 40 balloons.
Inside them they said, "POW," "BAM," "POP," or "You saved the day!"
Only 3 people actually saved the day!
2. Danger Identification & Web Skills
Me explaining just how intense this game was.
"Run as fast as you can, identify the bad guys and don't harm the innocent princesses or sweet animals. Shoot with your webs (silly string) to save the day. Accuracy and speed matter."
 Jack kicking butt!
They competed in groups of threes.
They had a lot of fun.
3. World's Largest Human Spider Web
aka
Use whatever silly string you have and shoot it at your friends.

SUPER PHOTO OP!
I built this for $7. I bought some grey fabric and some old black pillow cases from Goodwill. I used the leftover felt pieces from the capes and made a city skyline for the superheroes to take a picture in front of. (I FORCE EVERY CHILD TO TAKE A PICTURE!) I do this so I can have a personalized picture of the friends who came to share this special day with Jack, and then to send thank you cards for the gifts they brought. Who doesn't love thank you cards, with a picture of themselves on it?

SUPER CAKE!
Grandma Jones made the yummy chocolate Bundt cake and then we all had fun sorting the M&Ms by color to make this cake look SUPER! It was a hit. (Yes, we all washed our hands.)

SUPER PRESENTS!
Jack was spoiled. He had so many people to come and support his big day. He opened so many presents and every time he said, "Oh my GOSH! OH my GOSH!" He was very thankful for the tons of SUPERHERO toys he got, along with his sweet Left-handed baseball glove!
His eyelashes are soooo long that he has to have it on just right or he can't see.

OUR SUPER BOY!
Your sister loved being your Justice League sidekick, Wonder Woman.

 Big Muscles
We ALL love you so much Jack boy. We all hope you had a great and memorable birthday. We can't believe you are already 3 years old. Here's to many more special days with this special boy!
Happy birthday Jack!
