SNOW Worried

I was "SNOW" worried that I wouldn't be able to get my kids personalized Valentine cards done this year because I have been so busy.

But it came to me last night, as I laid in bed plotting ways to spend all of my Sugar's money... He is convinced I do this.

These will just have to do.

Attach to a tiny bag of marshmallows.

Way cuter than the boring store bought ones, and not even that much more money.

Plus, my babes won't be little for too much longer. I have to splurge while they still let me!

Yard Sale Treasure

You never know what you're going to find.

Sometimes you strike out big time with a whole Saturday morning spent in and out of the car, looking through other people's things that they've deemed unworthy to stay in their homes any longer.

Sometimes you find a little toy that was a shiny quarter that will break most assuredly before you even make it back home.

And then there are sometimes when you find something remarkable. Something that speaks to your soul. Something you will regret it for the rest of your life if you don't snag it. You may even try and haggle to get the price lower for it, or you may have even been willing to pay double just to make it yours. Yours forever.

That's what you call a yard sale treasure.

And my boy found a doozie, one magical day out yard sailing in North Bend, Wa.

My boy and his Peruvian flute.

Beauty and the Beast

Quotes During the Show
"Are those real live humans up there?" ~ Jocy

"Mom. Honestly? I just don't like this at all." ~ Jack

"Jack, I swear if you put your feet on me one more time I'm going to slice them off." ~ Afton

Quotes at Intermission
"Mom. Do you think we can touch the real live humans like we did at that ballet show?" ~ Jocy

"How come Dad gets to leave?"~ Jack

"These cookies are gross. Do you think they have anything else in the back?" ~ Afton

Quotes After the Show
"My favorite part was Chip and Mrs. Potts. They was the cutest." ~ Jocelyn

And...

"Mom, did you see her boo boos? Geeze Laleeze. They almost hit me in my heads." ~ Jocy

"My favorite was Cogsworth. He was really funny."

And...

Singing to himself as we walk to the car, "Be our guest, be our guest..." ~ Jack

"My favorite was Lumiere. He was just awesome. He made me laugh a lot."

And...

"Do you think I could maybe do some theater classes soon mommy?" ~ Afton

As much as they drive me crazy and make me feel the rage of a beast at times, they truly do find the beauty in all things, eventually.

Sunny Seattle

No joke, when the sun is out, there is a sense of enthusiasm in the air around here.

Everyone is out!
And most importantly, they are out enjoying life and the little things that make them happy.
Betsy is not thrilled with the help Uncle Scock is providing.
For us, those little things include, the sunshine, family time outside, and of course ice cream on a warm winter day in downtown Seattle.
For this guy walking on water, it was a whole lot of weed that makes him happy, and the sunshine too of course.

A sunny day in Seattle... could there be anything better?

Ugh and Oh Crap

I would do just about anything for my boy. I know. It's not fair (and I do love my girls immensely as well), but he is just the sweetest, appreciative, most tender little man that ever walked the earth.

A few months back when we started preparing our kids for moving again, they all seemed like they knew what to expect. But, Jack remembered that he would yet again have another birthday without his friends.

So, because his big, deep, beautiful brown eyes, with eyelashes I would kill for, looked up at me with a disappointing look (I'm a sucker - I already know), saying something along the lines of, "I'll just miss another birthday without a fun party Mom." Or, "It's okay. I know that I'm just the middle child, so inevitably you can't dote on me like my big or little sister, Mommy." Or, "Maybe next year I'll get to be celebrated like Afton and Jocelyn are EVERY year with family and their friends, right Momma?"

I can't exactly remember what the crap he said, but it was enough to pierce my freaking heart. So, to rectify the situation, I told him we would throw a small little gathering with his best buds from school before we move. He was appeased and so was I.

And then I forgot.

Ugh.

2 days before the end of the school year Jack asked, "Mom. Where are my invitations for my party? What kind of party is it so I can tell my friends? Thanks again mom for throwing me a party early."

Oh crap.

So glad we were able to throw this together, last minute for my boy! I know that he was appreciative as he told me while looking up at me with his big, deep, beautiful brown eyes and fidget spinner in his hand, "Thanks for my fun party with my friends mommy. I love you so much."
