Heart Shaped Pizza

Valentine's dinner with the twins was "de-yish-us."

John John sounds just like Jocelyn a few years ago, so it just makes me swoon.

That, and he is the sweetest little boy ever, other than my own John.

Written 2 years ago.
Posted 3 days after Valentines 2021.
Really missing our cute twins and all the Washington family!

Sunny Seattle

No joke, when the sun is out, there is a sense of enthusiasm in the air around here.

Everyone is out!
And most importantly, they are out enjoying life and the little things that make them happy.
Betsy is not thrilled with the help Uncle Scock is providing.
For us, those little things include, the sunshine, family time outside, and of course ice cream on a warm winter day in downtown Seattle.
For this guy walking on water, it was a whole lot of weed that makes him happy, and the sunshine too of course.

A sunny day in Seattle... could there be anything better?

Ain't Nobody Got Time for That

Some people like to bake cookies.

I don't.

Too messy. And if I make them, I will eat them. And with my Dr. Pepper addiction, I shouldn't partake in any other naughty calories.

So, this little gem was a magical thing for my kids, because I sure as _ _ _ _ was not making actual gingerbread cookies to decorate.

Because honestly... refer to the title of this post.

They loved it. They were so creative and shockingly, kind while sharing all of the ingredients... except when Jocelyn snuck a few extra candy bows. Overall, it was worth the whole $7.99 and my peace of mind.

Deep Thoughts and Real Concerns

During our healthy lunch yesterday, we had a lot of deep thoughts and real concerns to discuss.

"What's the big deal about this eclipse? It gets dark every night so who cares?" ~ Jack

"Are duh sun and duh moon frens?" ~ Jocelyn

"I wonder if I'll remember what I was doing today when it happens again the next time when I'm really old like you mom."
"Well, what were you doing when it happened today to help you remember this eclipse later on?"
"Nothing. I was bored. That's all I ever am is bored in this new house." ~ Afton

"I wonder how many Jacks you can get in a picture at once." ~ Jack

"Is my preschool teacher's name d(g)oing to be Miss Bianca yike my old teacher was becuz I yike dat name a yot." ~ Jocelyn

"What kind of meat do you think this is inside this taco? It doesn't seem like normal meat Mommy." ~ Afton

"I wonder what school will be like. Like will I have my own computer? Do you think I could play Minecraft at school? More importantly, do you think they have a tether ball court?" ~ Jack

"Is we d(g)unna have to cyean our cyothes yike dis at duh yaundry pyace everyday of our lives? Because I am not yiking it." ~ Jocelyn

"Mom, when is our house going to be done? I really miss my bed." ~ Afton

They have deep thoughts and real concerns that I just can't answer at the moment. Except for, "No this is not real taco meat. And let's not think about what it is because I could just throw up thinking about it."

Mariachi Mondays

We've spent many Monday nights here at Las Palmas because they have 3 things that I love.

1. Someone preparing dinner other than me
2. $1.50 tacos that are muy fantastico
3. Live music

We always seem to run into friends too, so that makes it better!

This guy was amazing and so great with the little kids.
Sure do wish we could have had him at Afton's baptism playing the harp. 😉
Check him out if ever you need a mariachi band or harpist for your next event!

The Elton John

My Sugar had this slice of pizza a few months ago and he's wanted to go back any chance he could get.

Tonight was the night!

I have a happy Sugar and three happy babes.

If ever in Palm Springs, you must visit Bill's Pizza and try The Elton John. You won't be disappointed.
